Currently, we are experiencing a fitness boom, especially among the younger generations. This heightened attention to the body is fostered by various factors such as the excessive presence of images, idealized notions, dietary habits, and the lack of everyday physical activity.
I present the body in a subtle and abstract manner, as a conscious contrast to the representations in the fitness industry and the media. Instead of depicting the body directly, I create body-like images that can be aesthetically pleasing, touching, or even confusing. This generated tension is translated into a book that continuously challenges viewers to perceive the body not merely as a physical shell. The textual layer supports this perspective, guiding the readers through the publication’s content.
